The Fondue Lodge is a family owned & run restaurant, set in the Principality of Andorra, high in the Pyrenean mountains.

Ian, a professional North Sea Diver, came to live in Andorra in 1995 where he met Bella, his wife, who has lived in Andorra since 1967.

The idea of a fondue restaurant was - curious though it may seem - conceived while on holiday in Mallorca !!

It then took two years for the idea to become a reality. The premises, an old house in need of serious work, were found and work began. Ian & bella, with a lot of help from friends and family, completely and singlehandely renovated the chalet and converted it into what it is today: A cosy and friendly restaurant and bar serving fondues of all varieties and types as well as more traditional food.

The Fondue Lodge, open since November 1999, is located in the village of Arinsal (altidude 1.445m), already internationally renowned for being a popular winter ski & sports resort as well as for its natural spring water "Aigua d'Arinsal"

Arinsal is an attractive village nestled at the end of a beautiful valley at the foot of the highest moutain in Andorra: the Pic de Comapedrosa. Arinsal and its surrounding countryside offer a wide range of activities both in summer and in winter. The Fondue Lodge is situated at the higher end of the village. This privileged location ensures that the most spectacular panoramic views can be enjoyed from its riverside terraces.

To watch the sun go down over the snowy peaks while enjoying the relaxing warmth of an open fireplace after a hard days skiing is a wonderful sensation.
